Keland McElrath headed to Texas Tech

Posted by JAMES JONES on September 25, 2013

Coahoma Community College defensive end Keland McElrath has verbally committed to Texas Tech.

The 6-foot-5, 290-pound McElrath chose the Red Raiders over Kentucky, West Virginia and Western Kentucky.

"They're family oriented," McElrath told RedRaidersports.com. "I could see me taking my family down there. Tech really wants me, so I committed there."

McElrath will sign in December during the Mid Year Signing Period for Junior College players.
