USM's new LED scoreboard installed

Posted by PATRICK MAGEE on August 23, 2013

The Southern Miss athletic department released a photo Friday on its Twitter account of the new full LED video scoreboard at M.M. Roberts Stadium.

The board was completely replaced after it was damaged during the February tornado. The artificial turf was also replaced because of storm damage.

The video board will be able to display more advertisements and USM officials hope it will be more interactive and fan-friendly.

USM fans will get a look at the new board when the football season opens at 6 p.m. on Aug. 31 against Texas State.
