June 26, 2013

Child-pornography cases that have not resulted in indictments since 2010:

n William Brushaber, a former police dispatcher in Pascagoula, arrested in March 2011 on a charge of possession of child pornography.

n Bruce Dean Truett Jr. of Escatawpa, arrested in July 2011 on two charges of possession of child pornography.

n Marcus Jerome Peairs of Pascagoula, arrested in June 2011 on a charge of possession of child pornography.

n James Hagan of Ocean Springs, indicted in 2012 on a charge of child exploitation. The District Attorney's Office dismissed the charge, in part because Hagan "did not manufacture or create" a child pornography video found in a deleted user account on his city-issued laptop. Hagan was first arrested on the charge in November 2011.

n Emmanuel Barajas of Pascagoula, arrested in May 2010 and indicted on a charge of child exploitation but the District Attorney's Office dismissed the charge because prosecutors could not prove beyond a reasonable doubt any person in a sexually explicit video found on his computer was under the age of 18.

n Talmadge Jace Wells of the St. Martin community, arrested in December 2010 on a charge of possession of child pornography.

n William Timothy Odom Jr. of Moss Point, arrested in October 2010 on a charge of possession of child pornography.

n Ellis Eugene Roberts II of Pascagoula, a Red Cross volunteer when he was arrested in April 2010 on four charges of possession of child pornography.

n Brandon McCullough of Ocean Springs, arrested in May 2010 on a charge of possession of child pornography.
