Saints nab Gulf Coast CC lineman

Posted by JAMES JONES on April 27, 2013

Defensive tackle Jonathan Jenkins is the fourth straight Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College player to get drafted by the NFL.

The New Orleans Saints picked the Georgia lineman in the third round of the NFL Draft.

Jenkins, who was once considered a first-round pick, joins Linebacker Chris White (Buffalo Bills), running back Vick Ballard (Indianapolis Colts) and Terrance Cody (Baltimore Ravens) as Bulldogs draftees from 2010-2013.

Alabama coach Nick Saban said Gulf Coast has the nation's best JUCO football program.
