USM unveils new uniforms by Russell Athletic, big money in deal

Posted by PATRICK MAGEE on April 17, 2013

Southern Miss and Russell Athletic officially announced its new apparel agreement today in a press conference on the school's campus.

USM will receive a total of $2.75 million dollars over the course of the five-year agreement.

USM football player Deron Wilson and basketball player Jerrold Brooks modeled the new uniforms for media and fans in attendance.

The football helmet resembles the style that USM has worn in recent seasons, but the uniform itself has an entirely different look.

The basketball uniforms resemble those worn by the 1987 USM team that won the NIT championship.
