Four Jackson area players choose Tigers

Jackson State will have an impressive basketball signing class, receiving four verbal commitments within the state borders.

Callaway forward TreShawn Bolden, Provine guard Javeres Brent and Coahoma Community College guard Alex Thompson all committed to the Tigers on Thursday, according to the Clarion Ledger.

Provine forward Donta Robinson committed to the Tigers earlier this week.

Jackson State has a new coach, former Callaway coach Wayne Brent.

The NCAA spring signing period starts April 17 and concludes in mid-May.
