USM-LSU baseball game rained out

The LSU-Southern Miss baseball game scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight in Metairie, La., has been canceled because of heavy rain in the area.

USM coach Scott Berry said that the game will not be made up.

Southern Miss has an 11-16 record and will host Tulane at 6 p.m. on Friday to start a three-game Conference USA series with the Green Wave.

LSU (27-2) hosts Kentucky at 7 p.m. on Friday to start its SEC series.
