Moss Point man sought in shooting

The Moss Point Police Department wants to hear from anyone who knows the whereabouts of David Lee McCovery Jr., a Moss Point resident.

Police Chief Keith Davis said McCovery is wanted for questioning in a shooting on Fredrick Street on Thursday.

The wounded person was treated and released from Singing River Hospital.

The man, a neighbor, was shot in the leg and taken to the hospital by family members. Davis said the man identified McCovery as the shooter.
