BILOXI — Police are searching for a 17-year-old identified as a suspect in a shooting Saturday night near the Quality Inn on U.S. 90, Sgt. Christopher De Back said.

Police identified the suspect this morning as Khalid Daschi Williams, 17, of Gulfport. He is wanted on a charge of aggravated assault.

The victim, 16, of Gulfport,was taken to Biloxi Regional Medical Center for treatment.

"There was a fight going on," De Beck said of incident shortly before 9 p.m.

"We are trying to get some more answers. Some saw stuff. Some didn't see anything."
