Worker who died at seafood plant identified

— A man who died at Omega Protein seafood plant Monday night has been identified.

Jackson County coroner Vicki Broadus said 24-year-old Christopher Hebert of Moss Point was pronounced dead at the scene of the facility on Elder Ferry Road.

An autopsy is planned for Hebert on Wednesday.

The Associated Press reports that Moss Point police chief Keith Davis said it appeared to be a work-related accident.

He said a 911 call was made at 8:42 p.m.
