— Thomas Niolon, the husband and father of a woman and child shot to death Friday at their home, has died at Ocean Springs Hospital, spokesman Richard Lucas said this afternoon.

Thomas Niolon was pronounced dead at 10:41 a.m. today.

A family friend found Niolon's wife, Jan, and daughter, Pieper, dead Friday at their home on Water Oaks Cove in east Ocean Springs. Thomas Niolon was found unconscious and lying next to prescription pill bottle in the home.

Ocean Springs police said the shooting was domestic-related. The gun used in the shooting was sent to the Mississippi Crime Lab for testing to determine who the shooter was.

Police said they are awaiting the results of tests before they are able to say if Niolon shot and killed his wife and child before taking prescription pills. He never regained consciousness.
