Pedestrian killed on Interstate 10 identified (updated 9:20 a.m.)

Officials have identified a pedestrian who was struck and killed this morning along Interstate 10.

The man has been identified as Donald Sullivan, 45, of Saucier.

Sullivan was hit by a car traveling in the westbound lane between Cedar Lake exit and the I-110 overpass shortly after 5 a.m., Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove said.

The driver, who was not identified, remained on the scene after the accident, he said.

The accident remains under investigation.
