Pass fire department responds to boat fire

— Pass Christian Fire Department has extinguished a boat fire on Pinecone Street just east of Henderson Avenue this morning.

The fire department dispatched two units as well as volunteer firefighters at 10:34 a.m. to a fire in progress on an abandoned stoage shed in a wooded area, which sent a large plume of black smoke into the air, which was visible several miles.

Harrison County Fire Services Cuevas department also responded to the scene.

The boat was 24 to 28 feet long v-haul, but the type of boat is yet to be determined.

Pass Christian Fire Department is still on scene and is trying to determine the cause. There were no injuries.
