Sun Herald source: Fedora has made no deal

afjones@sunherald.comDecember 7, 2011

A source close to the University of Southern Mississippi has told the Sun Herald that as of this morning, Coach Larry Fedora has not agreed to a contract with any university currently courting him.

The source did say, however, that Fedora has "more than one" offer on the table and is considering them. In addition to UNC, Texas A&M, Kansas, and Arizona State have been pursuing the coach that led USM to a Conference USA championship this season.

Fedora is from College Station.

Multiple sources cited by other news and online outlets on Tuesday said that Fedora had taken the North Carolina job. The source said that those reports were false.

"Any news that unfolded yesterday was false," the source said.

Fedora has been in New York with Athletics Director Richard Giannini for a College Hall of Fame event.
