Turnout appears to be high

Posted on November 8, 2011

I'm getting reports that Coast voter turnout is running high, especially compared to 2007's mediocre turnout.

North Bay in Harrison County has turned out 110 percent compared to 2007.

There were lines at a couple of Harrison County precincts. One Vancleave precinct by early morning today had more than 200 voted, and lines forming.

I've heard total absentee was up to 45,000 ... extrapolate that as 5 percent of the vote, and we could see a blockbuster turnout.

Polls are still open!
