Handyman forces his way into Gautier home

— A Gautier man who claimed to be a "jack of all trades" was taken into custody this morning after forcing his way into a woman's home in the Westgate subdivision, Sgt. Matt Hoggatt said.

Donyell L. Magee, 42, was arrested on charges of burglary of an occupied dwelling and residential burglary. The victim, Hoggatt said, recognized Magee because he'd been walking the neighborhood soliciting work from residents.

Magee, Hoggatt said, broke into the woman's home after she failed to answer the door. He fled the home when he saw the woman in a hallway. No injuries were reported.
