State Rep. Roger Ishee was the keynote speaker. He is an Air Force vet and lifetime member of VFW Post 2539 and American Legion Post 119.

During the ceremony, a plaque honoring Pfc. James Diamond of Gulfport was dedicated. Diamond was posthumously awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his actions during WWII.
