Emergency personnel around 7:35 a.m. were at the scene of a school-bus crash but believe the only person injured is the driver whose vehicle struck the school bus, Mississippi Highway Patrol Cpl. Johnny Poulos said.

MHP is investigating the crash on Mississippi 614 along with help from the Jackson County Sheriff's Department.

The accident occurred near the East Central Civic Center, Sheriff Mike Byrd said.
