One dead in accident in Pascagoula

— One person has been confirmed dead in a two-vehicle collision on U.S. 90 just west of the Pascagoula high-rise bridge, Pascagoula Police Chief Kenny Johnson said.

The accident, reported at 11:30 a.m. today, occurred after one vehicle rear-ended another, Johnson said, and one of the vehicles caught fire. The deceased, he said, was inside the burning vehicle.
