Suspect also wanted in Florida

Harrison County Sheriff's Department arrested a Long Beach man on felony drug charges Friday after finding 126 marijuana plants growing inside the man's home.

Sheriff Melvin Brisolara said in a press release that Larry Reynoso Rios of Turner Road has been charged with felony manufacture of a controlled substance. He also has been charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and being a fugitive fleeing from justice.

Sheriff's narcotics investigators executed a search warrant at the residence after learning Rios was wanted in Florida. They found the plants, drug paraphernalia, digital scales and a shotgun with pistol grip and sawed-off barrel.

Rios also had a current fugitive warrant in Florida for probation violation in connection with a burglary conviction. He has been wanted in Florida since 2003.

Rios also faces extradition to Florida. He is being held at the Harrison County jail without bond pending extradition to Florida.
