What a sight to discover a pair of pelicans flying down the beach today, with no signs of oil on their feathers. If we ever took for granted the birds soaring along above the traffic on Beach Boulevard we won't soon again. Most or them have flown away from here and the approaching oil and we can only hope they will return one day as they did after Hurricane Katrina.
