April 1, 2010

Former "American Idol" contestants Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken will launch a 17-stop tour this summer that includes Biloxi.

Studdard, the Season 2 winner, and runner up Aiken will bring their "Timeless" tour to Asheville, N.C., on July 23. Other tour stops include New York City.

The tour will finish with an Aug. 14 appearance at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino, according to Aiken's website, www.clayonline.com. The date is not on the casino's website, beaurivage.com

The pair will sing classics from the past 50 years in their show.

"I couldn't ask for a better tour mate," Aiken says of Studdard in a statement. "To be able to share the stage with him again is so exciting. ... He inspires me daily and I think that respect and admiration will truly be reflected in our show."

"The relationship that we have built over these past eight years will definitely translate into a great show for our fans," Studdard said of the tour. "And, I'm really looking forward to singing the timeless classics every night."
