Golfweek has ranked Beau Rivage Resort and Casino's Fallen Oak Golf Club No. 41 on its list of Top 100 Modern Courses.

The Tom Fazio-designed course will host the Champions Tour next month for the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic.

The 2010 rating raises Fallen Oak 14 places from its 2009 initial ranking on the list of courses designed since 1960. The weekly publication also selected Beau Rivage 16th on its 2010 Top 100 Golf Resorts. That represents a six-spot jump from the course's 2009 ranking.

"Fallen Oak debuted on the 2009 Golfweek's Best Modern list at No. 55 and arguably is underrated there; it certainly is among the top 3 of the 40-plus Fazio courses I've ever played," wrote Golfweek Senior Writer Bradley Klein.

Fallen Oak remained at No. 1 in the state-by-state ranking of the Best Courses You Can Play for public access course in the state.
