LONG BEACH -- A house fire on Leggett Road consumed the building left a couple homeless and looking for their cat.

Brad and Anita Nicholson were renting a mobile home from Huey P. Woodcock of the Kiln when a fire broke out this morning.

Anita Nicholson, who was at home when the fire broke out, said she has no idea how it started.

Long Beach Fire Department units arrived first on scene because Harrison County units were delayed by road construction on 28th Street.

"We lost everything," Anita Nicholson said, "and I don't know where my cat (Sweet Pea) is."

The cause of the fire is under investigation. There were no injuries.
