Northbound traffic is moving again, but still backed up to U.S. 90 following a 3 p.m. accident on the drawbridge of Interstate 110 that caused both vehicles to catch fire.

Initial reports around 3:15 p.m. indicated two vehicles were involved in a crash and one caught fire and the other was at risk of catching fire.

One southbound lane of traffic has just opened at 3:20 p.m.

The northbound lanes have opened on I-110 at 4 p.m., but traffic is backed up nearly to U.S. 90 because of the wreck and fire on the drawbridge.

Asa Bullock, 19, of Biloxi, was in the left lane of the northbound traffic in a 1995 F-250 truck when a Ford Explorer tried to change lanes.

"I was driving over the drawbridge and when he started switching lanes, I knew he was going to lose control," he said.

Both vehicles sustained fire damage in the wreck that happened just after 3 p.m.

The Harrison County Sheriff's Department is handling the accident and Biloxi and D'Iberville fire departments have responded to the fire.
