Flood warning issued for Tchoutacabouffa River in D'Iberville

The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Tchoutacabouffa River near D'Iberville in Harrison County.

The warning is in effect from now to Thursday morning, or until the warning is canceled.

At 6 a.m., the stage at D'Iberville was at 6.3 feet and the flood stage is 8 feet.

The river is forecasted to crest near 12 feet by Wednesday morning. At 10 feet, recreational camps will be inaccessible and property along Lamey Bridge Road will be inundated.

Forecasted crests are based on rainfall expected in the next 12 hours.
