The National Weather Service has updated its storm warning to include a new line 10 miles southeast of Slidell moving toward Hancock County northeast at 30 mph.

The storm line will be near Waveland by 3:20 p.m. and 7 miles southeast of the Kiln by 3:25 p.m. and Bay St. Louis and Diamondhead by 3:30 p.m.

Long Beach and Pass Christian can expect the storm line by 3:40 p.m.

Frequent lightning and wind gusts 40 to 50 mph are accompanying this storm and could cause tree limbs to fall and small objects to be blown around.

The NWS is advising residents to take cover until the storms have passed.
