Pass superintendent appointed to state school board

A Pass Christian educator has been named to the state Board of Education, Gov. Haley Barbour announced today.

Dr. Sue Matheson, superintendent of the Pass Christian School District, has been appointed to replace Dr. David Sistrunk. She will serve until June 30, 2014.

Barbour also appointed Kami Bumgarner of Madison to the board. The Madison Middle School social studies teacher replaces Sondra Caillavet. Bumgarner will serve until June 30, 2018.
