The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for coastal counties in Mississippi and for southeastern Louisiana. There is a ridge of high pressure above us that is keeping the hot weather here and keeping the rain out. There isn't a chance of rain in the forecast for the area until Wednesday, and even then it's only 20 percent.
