— Several hundred South Mississippians are in Pass Christian this morning to watch the live broadcast of "Good Morning America" at the Pass Christian Boys & Girls Club.

The grand opening of the club will be broadcast this morning on GMA with co-anchor Robin Roberts, whose hometown is the Pass, in attendance.

Roberts has returned to the Coast numerous times since Hurricane Katrina hit on Aug. 29, 2005, to report on the damage and ensuing recovery.

Already this morning, Roberts has interviewed Gov. Haley Barbour, who talked about how the economy has affected the state. He said that although there has been job loss, the Katrina reconstruction is helping Mississippi through the economic crisis.

The Washington diplomat from Qatar also is here for the broadcast.

"Good Morning America" is broadcast from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on ABC.
