The Gautier Men’s Club hosted its 30th annual carnival ball January 31st at the B.E. “Mac” McGinty Civic Center. The theme of the ball was “Lost In The Fifties Tonight”.
The event began with the presentation of the reigning King Altama XXIX Guy Cagnolatti and Queen Anola XXIX Karen Gregory. The master of ceremonies was Joe Martin. D J “Stormin Norman” and “Easy Eddie and the Party Rockers” band provided the music for the evening.
Grand Duke and Grand Duchess were Cliff Cooley and Michelle Wooten. Inside Dukes & Duchesses were J C Brake and Ann Knight, Daryl Jackson and Sandra Phillips, Greg Spanier and Teresa Nelson. Outside Dukes and Duchesses were Chad Woods and Jill Pouncey, S T Phillips and Stephanie Morgan, and Chuck Simpson and Traci Bragg Eplin.
The royal event concluded with the crowning of King Altama XXX, Ed Gregory and Queen Anola XXX, Linda Lawrence Cagnolatti.
His majesty, Ed Gregory, is a native of Jackson County and has been a resident of Gautier for the past 34 years. Ed and his wife, Karen have two sons, Edward and Matt.
Ed is a graduate of the University of Alabama Birmingham School of Industrial Distribution, and a graduate of the Blue Cliff College. He is the owner of Coast Massage Therapy Group and Vice President of Southern Pest Control. Ed is a certified medical massage practitioner. Ed has been a member of the Gautier Men’s Club for the past 14 years, serving as duke in 2000 and Grand Duke in 2002. He also served as host for the Krewe of Venus carnival in 1999 and fourth Duke for 2000.
Her Majesty, Linda Lawrence Cagnolatti, was born in Biloxi, Linda and Guy reside in Gautier with their nephew Vincent. Linda is the daughter of Francis and Linda Lawrence and the granddaughter of Margaret Rosetti. She has two children: Tony and Amy.
Linda has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and has been employed with Mississippi Power Company for 28 years.
She was a member of the United States Junior Chamber of Commerce for 14 years and served as the first woman president of the Biloxi Junior Chamber of Commerce, the 68th State President of the Mississippi Junior Chamber of Commerce, and National Vice President of the United States Junior Chamber of Commerce. She served as Gautier Men’s Club Duchess in 2000 and Gautier Men’s Club Grand Duchess in 2004.
