On February 14, 2009 D’Iberville Moose Lodge #332 celebrated Mardi Gras with the them of “Midnight at the Oasis”.

The Ball started with the presentation of the 2008 King James Bowe and Queen Barbara Hosli.

At the sound of the gong, the groups began to follow out representing Ali Baba’s forty (40) thieves and their herium girls. With the great music and the beads sailing through the air, the entire lodge enjoyed the entertainment.

As the gong rang through the air, the 2009 King Rex S. Tootle of D’Iberville was presented. Rex is the son of Selmia Tootle and the late Roland Tootle of Biloxi. He is married to Kim Tootle and they have three children, Andrew and Elizabeth (Tootle) Speaker, Steven and Amanda Tootle and Charles Tootle. Together they have five grandchildren, Kayleigh, Morgan, and Dalton Speaker and Trae and Chase Tootle.

Rex has been a member of the Moose Lodge for six (6) years. During this time he has been involved in the Moose Legion, Mardi Gras Krewe, and the Moose Motorcycle Club, of which he is now the presiding Chairman.

Rex has been retired for two years from the Biloxi Fire Department after 25 years of service. He is now a general contractor building new homes for the Gulf Coast.

The next gong represented the entrance of the 2009 Queen Lorraine Falcon of Biloxi. Lorraine was born in Newfoundland Canada, were she met and married her husband of 31 years, the late Frenchy Falcon.

She has five children, two sons and three daughters, which three of her children are members of the Moose. She has nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Lorraine has been a member of the Women of the Moose since 1980, has always been a very active member in her chapter, serving all the officers chairs, and has served as chairperson of many different committees. Lorraine is always there when asked to participate in the various activities for both the men and women. She has a deep love for the Moose and what it stands for “Faith Hope and Charity”.

Lorraine has worked for AAFES for 22 years and has been retired since 1996, but still continues to work part time.

She enjoys going to lunch with her girlfriends at the casinos and dropping a few coins in the slot machines.
