BILOXI -- Sea Wolves goaltender Riku Helenius was called from the Norfolk Admirals of the AHL to the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning, the team announced today.
Helenius began the week with the Mississippi Sea Wolves, traveling with the team to Johnstown, Penn., before being recalled to the Admirals.
Helenius, a 6-foot-3, 202-pound goaltender from Palkane, Finland, did not appear in a game with the Sea Wolves after being assigned to Mississippi last week. In 11 ECHL games this season, Helenius is 4-5-2 with a 3.80 GAA and .896 save percentage.
