KILN -- Jeremy Yarborough Rando, 18, has been charged with the murder of a 22-year-old Diamondhead man.

Justice Court Judge Ricky Adam set bond at $1 million.

Sheriff Steve Garber said investigators believe Rando is the one who shot Nicholas Clay Patterson multiple times and left him in the back seat of a vehicle in a fight over drugs. Garber said Patterson was shot in the front yard of Rando's home on Lee Road in Bay St. Louis.

Investigators believe Rando put Patterson in the back seat of a car and drove him to Third Marsh Road, where he was found dead on Friday.

More arrests are likely, Garber said.

The Sun Herald will update this story in Tuesday's edition.
